The best way to support your heart for #Heart4PCOS The best way to support your heart for #Heart4PCOS is to eat vegetables.

Sounds so simple, but this is the main component in the DASH diet, that has been shown to be protective for the heart.

Green leafy vegetables in fact are one of the best foods to help with heart health. These vegetables are made up of vitamin K and nitrates that help reduce blood pressure and improve arterial function.

Additionally, studies show that HIGHER consumption of green leafy vegetables is associated with reduced heart disease risk.

So get your greens in! 🥗

Kale is by far my favourite green leafy vegetable.

I like to just chop it up, add some cherry tomatoes, avoacdo, hemp seeds, cucumber with a lemon olive oil salt and pepper salad dressing. It's so easy and tastes so good.

What's your favourite green leafy vegetable?

The key to being successful in your health is stay The key to being successful in your health is staying consistent.

This may not always happen, since life can get in the way. Something stressful comes up, you get injured, you feel emotional, etc. All of these types of things can set you off.

One of my patients' recently said to me, "when I'm consistently taking my supplements and eating well. I feel so much better."

And this is so true. I find that when I stop taking my supplements or stop eating well...my health slowly starts to decline.

It really comes down to making your health a priority, knowing when you've fallen off the bandwagon and getting back on again. Because it is going to happen, time and time again, you are going to stop doing what you need to do to feel good and that is okay!

The key to consistency is recognizing that you've come off the path and getting yourself back on again.

Hope this was the friendly reminder you needed today!

It can be very overwhelming. But know that all of these symptoms are coming from a root cause. Often times it is insulin resistance or elevated testosterone.

I find that once you determine what the root cause is, everything else can fall into place. You will understand why your body needs to be fed a certain way, you will understand why when you get your body moving things start to change.

It all starts with, gaining clarity in what your body needs and then learning to have the control to continue to help it out.
