Hello, my name is Dr. Samina Mitha, Naturopathic Doctor!
About 12 years ago I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). This is when everything started making sense – my irregular periods, hirsutism, anxiety, stress and sugar cravings. My hormones were all over the place and I felt as if my options were very limited.
I have been where you are tired, worried and frustrated.
At this point I was compelled to take actions in my own hands and got help from a Naturopathic Doctor. I started to really understand my body and my health.
This lead me to have a special interest in PCOS and all things hormone and fertility related. I have done my research to understand hormones and have worked with many patients to help get them in a place of balance.
I’m like a master puzzle maker. I can find that piece of the puzzle that can be so difficult to find but once you have it everything fits together. There are a lot of moving parts with hormones and PCOS. When people come to see me they can expect a thorough intake which includes your main concern, diet, stress, exercise, sleep, mood, and more. Additionally, we will walk through lab work that needs to be completed or is already done.
Some of the tools I use include nutrition, supplements, herbs, acupuncture and homeopathy. Research has shown that acupuncture can induce ovulation in PCOS and help with hormone regulation.
Ultimately, what I am really passionate about is restoring your clarity, confidence and control so you can live a life of good health!
I also have a strong passion for helping women who are pregnant and pediatrics!
I would love to connect…
